Description
Yes, i case you hadn't recognized him (or if you were born in the late 90s),this is Edgar the Bug from the classic SF comedy Men in Black.
MiB was one of my favorite SF movies when i was a kid, and as the second sequel is being released in theaters all around the world i realize just how special that first movie was.
I could start a rant about all the things that make the first MiB movie so much better than the sequels, but i think the character of Edgar alone proves my point.
This giant insect from space squeezed up inside a less than elegant Edgar suit was probably the best idea for an alien movie since the Xenomorphs from the Alien franchise. That thing was threatening, intelligent, violent, lethal, repulsive and terribly visually disturbing, the perfect combination between a zombie, an alien and a giant bug.
Screw The Invaders, The Puppet Masters and all that mambo-jambo: This is the kind of alien i was afraid to find living among us while growing up.
Now, about the picture itself, i drew most of the actual bug from memory, therefor there may be one or two details i got wrong. Mostly i regret not drawing the full body.
But i really think i nailed the Edgar Suit version

I don't think I could have said it better myself. Edgar is my all time favorite alien. While many generally have a main characteristic, the idea of a disgusting, methodical, sadistic criminal alien is a supreme concept. And he had the best comeback to a Charlton Heston quote: "You can have my gun when you prise it from my cold dead hands" "Your proposal is acceptable." XD

Oh god when he first takes Edgar's body is when I was laughing my ass off. Just by him pulling on the back of the head and asking the wife if it looked better made me lose it. XD It was terrifying that human skin could stretch like that but the way he did it was hilarious XD

Yeah I remember finding the actual alien far less ugly and terrifying than Edgar the human. xD Can't point at why. I find you captured his essence really good, on both drawings.
