“Sometimes I wonder if that which I describe as ideas, visions, and epiphanies, are not a byproduct of my mind, but perhaps come from an external source. A window into some intangible realm. It could just be that indeed it is a product of my mind. However, I am a mere mortal human mammal. There is so much that I don’t know, so why should I claim that this is something I know for certain. My fascination with this is why I was intrigued by the idea of Pasithea from Greek mythology. She is the personification of relaxation, meditation, hallucinations and all other altered states of consciousness. It’s intriguing to imagine that perhaps ideas, visions and epiphanies are a product of some divine intervention. Furthermore, as a visual artist I get to explore those ethereal spaces and create art for myself and others to enjoy, based on what I’ve gathered in those enchanting, magical voyages.”
