Nice painting. At a distance the thing look a bit like a chanting priest in a robe holding his head above his hands. Nice image. Great work.

You have no idea how delighted your Lovecraft art makes me. :3 The style and execution are so spot-on. Thank you for sharing it! As for this one in particular, the lighting on the Elder Thing is appropriately creepy. I like the texture you use for its flesh and you did great showing the movement of its many tentacles~ I also really dig the uh, pods? capsules? behind and to the left.

I keep getting back to this, so was about time to fav it. I've recently listened to some more of Lovecrafts Cthulhu-stories and have had a hard time imagining what the Elder Things looked like. This drawing gave them an actual look.

I didn't read the book, only a description of the creature. For the background I would want to do a kind of alien laboratory.
