Description
This is one of my ships from my Star Wars Fanfiction Series: Star Wars: The Shadow Wars. The series is currently between "Seasons."Note: The information below is from my own universe which is a blend of old and new canon and it not to be considered canon in any other universe but mine. I should also mention that this ship is canon (at least Legacy Canon) but its history is significantly different as far as my universe is concerned.
The image was acquired through the Star Wars: Warlords Mod for Homeworld 2 Classic.

Name: Home One
Class: MC80 Home One Type Star Cruiser
Current Assignment: Flagship of the Republic 2nd Fleet (colloquially known as the Endor Fleet).
Commanding Officer: Admiral Jesmin Ackbar, Admiral Gial Ackbar (formerly)
Affiliation: The New Galactic Republic, The Rebel Alliance (Originally, Formerly)
"Home One...she may not have been built for war, but she helped to lead us to victory over the Empire. My time as her Commanding Officer has been the greatest honor I've ever been granted." - Adm. Gial Ackbar in his autobiography regarding Home One.
Home One, the former flagship of the Rebel Alliance and the former flagship of the legendary Admiral Gial Ackbar. Home One remained the flagship of the Rebel Alliance well into its earliest years as the New Republic. It was assumed that Rebel Founder and Leader: Galen "Starkiller" Marek would assume either the Chancellorship or become Supreme Commander of the New Republic Military but was a surprise when Marek named Mon Mothma as the new Chancellor and Ackbar as Supreme Commander, Marek being ready to settle down with his wife, Juno Eclipse, and live a life free from the constant warring that had gone on for almost a decade. When Ackbar accepted the position of Supreme-Commander of the New Republic Military, he relocated to the captured Super Star Destroyer, Lusankya, handing command of Home One to General Rahm Kota.
Kota would remain in command of Home One for several years, Home One being designated as the flagship of the Republic's 2nd Fleet which was largely comprised of the ships that had participated in and survived the Battle of Endor. This distinction caused the 2nd fleet to be referred to as the Endor Fleet. Kota eventually stepped down from the post in order to take a position on the newly established Jedi Council on Yavin IV where he would serve until his death in 28 ABY.
Admiral Ackbar eventually retired in 23 ABY, appointing his niece, Admiral Jesmin Ackbar, to his vacant position of Supreme Commander. Jesmin proved to be as skilled and as capable a leader as her uncle and, although some initially balked at her appointment, mostly assumed to have been done out of nepotism, the majority of the doubters were silenced when Galen Marek gave his endorsement and highlighted some of Jesmin's military accomplishments.
In 25 ABY, Gial Ackbar came out of retirement one last time to lead the Endor Fleet to end the Droid Blockade of Cato Neimoidia. Ackbar had familiarized himself long ago with the old CIS battle tactics and knew how to counter them. He coordinated the battle from the bridge of Home One, his old flagship. His experience with the CIS tactics allowed the Republic to achieve an overwhelming victory against the old droid army with minimal casualties. The battle was a fitting end to Ackbar's military career and he happily returned to retirement once more.
In 28 ABY, when the Sith Empire returned and declared war on the Republic, Galen Marek assumed the position of Supreme Commander of the Republic Military, much to the elation of the Republic's citizenry. Jesmin herself had no problems in taking a reduced role, feeling it an honor to answer to the same man her uncle had answered to directly during the Rebellion. While Galen took command of the Lusankya and the First Fleet, Jesmine assumed command of Home One and the Endor Fleet, considering it a fitting tribute to her uncle who was in failing health at the time the war began.
Home One has been kept up-to-date over the years, with more advanced turbolasers and deflector shields installed along with updated communications and hyperdrive. A hand painted portrait of Admiral Ackbar is hung up on Home One's bridge. One of Home One's sister ships serves as the flagship of the Third Fleet under the Command of General Crix Madine and is regularly confused for the original Home One.
