This is probably one of the most unique perspective I've ever seen the Louvre shot from, at first I didn't know where it was, beautiful!

Good title for this, and absolutely right--it's the pleasing circle that makes this picture outstanding (and the depth and sharpness). All the lines (of the windows and railing) are all so angular, that the curved staircase in the middle is a surprise and even a relief.

I want that staircase. O:
The patterned system of bars over the windows gives them a shattered look, or as broken as whole glass can be. ^_^ Nice shot!

inside the 'new' louvre, i hope you don't hate the architecturial aspect (sounds bit harsch this 'jerky curves').
personally i think it is a revolutionar achievement.
btw, many would think the eiffel as an old rotten lady also.
greet

This is so great. I must tell you that you're a great inspiration for me, especially on architectural photos. I noticed that you've used the 10-22mm. I've bought it myself and it's great for architect. About the B&W setting on the camera - the positive thing about it is that you can see the result right away. And it's always possible to set the camera to RAW-files right?
