So I slipped on those damn shorts and waded into the lake, joining my brother and his girlfriend, Shauna, while my sister played with her buddy in the shallow parts.

It turns out my bro and his girlfriend both wanted ta teach me how to swim.

I had reminded them of all my previous failures, but they tried to teach me anyway.

Shauna gave me swimming tips verbally while my brother swam in several styles and told me to pay attenton to all his movements and then demonstrated how he swam in slow motions. I asked questions and they replied with tips and more demonstrations.

FINALLY, I believed I understood! I had the knowledge necessary ta pull it off- I could do this!

I SANK.

After a million tries, I gave up. We buried my sister's friend in sand, Had mud fights.

At the end of the day, I relaxed on one of those floaty wheel things. next thing I know, brother pushed me away from the shallow parts of the lake and i was stuck floating aimlessly around the lake until i was rescued when it was time ta go.
