Ina is all she can remember of her name after the incident with a mutagen spider.
When Ina was 15, she was kidnapped by the Foot Clan under Baxter Stockman's command, he needed a healthy teenager to be the guinea pig of a experiment with a new spider specie he created and one night, when she was coming back home after going out with some friends, the Foot Ninjas took her. After the experiment she no longer had memory of what happened, the only thing she felt was a extreme pain in her head because of the strange new pair of blind eyes she acquired with the mutation. The Shredder wanted her to be one more super-soldier among the other mutants he had created, but his plans were ruined when April O'neil notice the absence of her friend and contacted the turtles, who saved her.
Master Splinter agreed on letting her stay at the Lair because of her condition. Donatello did the best he could to help her with the pain of the eyes and after some weeks of healing she could finally use them properly. They discovered that they were great to see in the dark and in long distances. She wanted to fight by the Turtles' side so Splinter trained her to be a kunoichi just like April. But because of her Spider abilities, things turned to be different for her, and when she discovered she could jump from building to building with almost no effort, she started to explore her new abilities. Leonardo was the one who most helped her with the "spider" training, and they became very close friends. Michelangelo saw her as some kind of super-hero and named her "The Pink Flow" because of her abilities and the color of her strange pair of eyes, she liked the nickname and used it. She made her uniform with Donnie's help.
Her memories were not coming back, and April was the one who tried to teach her about her early life. She could not and didn't want to come back to her family, she didn't really had memories of them and since everyone thought she was dead, it would be very difficult for them to believe what happened. It would be wiser to stay in the shadows.
P.S. At first everyone called her "Ina" as her real name, but when she got used with her real name, it was mostly used as a nickname, the only ones who calls her by "Iana" are April and Leonardo.
