Injured Idiot - Reader x Levi/Rivaille Part One

"Tch, you made a horrible mess." Rivaille said while you scratched the back of your head. It was pouring. You were carrying a basket of bread for dinner tonight for the Scouts when you walked and slipped on a wet rock, causing the bread to fall. "S-sorry, C-Corporal!" You said as you knelt down, picking up the fallen bread.

"Oi, Idiot, it's dirty and it's no good."

You sighed, being the clean freak he was, he was right. You finished picking the ruined ones up and decided to place them on top of the basket until you got back to dispose of them. "O-ow.." You muttered as you tried to stand. 'Dammit, if i hadn't slipped on that rock..' Your right ankle began hurting as you made a pained face. Rivaille looked over to you. 'First the bread, now her.' He thought to himself. He walked up to you and picked you up, placing you over his shoulder, making you hang over it.
You blushed at the action. "C-Corporal?"

"Shut it." Was his simple, stern, reply.

He then picked up the basket and began walking back to HQ. Moments later, you arrived.
Rivaille went into the kitchen, placing the basket on the table, and disposed of the ruined bread, with you still hanging over his shoulder. Armin, Jean, and Eren who were working in the kitchen saw you, making you bury your face in your hands. Jean gave you a smirk and Eren gave a thumbs up. EVERYBODY at base knew about your crush on Rivaille, EVERYBODY, except Rivaille himself of course. You never had the guts to tell him, yet you had the guts to lunge yourself at a titan and kill it.

Still on his shoulder, he walked into his office and placed you on his bed. You blushed so hard. 'First, he carries you back to base, now you're in his bed?!' He pulled out a chair and set it by the bed. He then sat on it. You felt your heart beat increase as his hand stretched over to your right boot, slowly pulling it off, trying to avoid hitting the ankle. You winced at pain. It hurt like HELL. He had to remove the belts in order to inspect the ankle. "We need to remove the belts." And with those words, you slowly sat up and removed your leather jacket and placed it on the side of the bed. Rivaille stood up and began unbuckling the belt on your back, removing it cautiously. You blushed at this. Moments later all the belts were removed. He went to his closet, grabbing medical tools, cloths and alcohol to stop infection.

Minutes later, he returned to his seat and examined your ankle. It had a huge purple bruise on it. Rivaille stood up and walked out of his room. You had a confused look on your face. 'Where is he going?' You scratched your chin as he came back with a bucket of water. Rivaille rolled up the bottom of your pants, you stiffened at the action.

"Stay still." You relaxed a bit as he grabbed a neatly folded cloth and dabbed it into the bucket. While relaxing, you winced at the contact of the cloth. "Relax, Cadet, that's an order." Relaxed again, you thought to yourself. 'Why is he tending to your wound.' 'Did he actually..care..?' 'No, no he didn't, it's just the right thing to do as a soldier, right?' It was silent. You decided to break the silence.

"C-Corporal..why are you helping me?" He stopped and looked up at you. "Do you not want your ankle to heal?" You gulped. "I-I do..I was just wondering why.." He turned his gaze back to the ankle and continued cleaning it. Minutes passed and Levi finished cleaning the ankle. Next was the painful part, the alcohol. Oh glob how you hated that part the most. He grabbed a cloth but smaller than the one that was used to wash your foot and dabbed it in the alcohol. He lightly dabbed it onto your bruise, trying to make it less painful than it already is. Your ankle stiffened at the contact. Your eye twitched at the sudden pain. Oh how it burned. "C-Corporal.." "Shhh." Was his immediate response. Soon, he finished dabbing the alcohol and proceeded to get bandages.

He wrapped the bandages around your ankle slowly and carefully, trying to avoid hitting the ankle and pulling forcefully. After he wrapped the bandages, he had realized that it has gotten dark and it was time for dinner. He stood up and headed out, closing the door behind him.
"I wonder where he is going.." You said as you closed your eyes.

~Le Time Skip~

The door opened to reveal Rivaille with a plate that had bread and a cup with water. He saw that you were sleeping peacefully, but he had to wake you so you could have dinner. He placed the plate and cup on the table and walked over to you. "Cadet ______, wake up." He said as he shook you arm. 'She's warm...too warm..' He thought to himself. 'She might be catching a fever..' He raised his hand over to your head and placed it on your forehead. 'Tch, she's burning up..' "______.." He said as he tried to sit you up. You awoke at the sudden gesture.
"R-Rivaille..?" You said, half awake. "Shh, it's time to eat." You sat up, still half awake. Then he placed a blanket on your shoulders, hoping to warm you up. Then he sat down.

He picked up the bread and placed it in your mouth, fully waking you up. You took a bite out of the bread and chewed, he still held the bread. You were to weak from the fever to feed yourself. After you finished, he held the cup as you drank the water. Rivaille took his own personal handkerchief and wiped your mouth. You blushed at the action and tugged at the blanket. Slowly your eyes began closing.
"You need to rest." He laid you back down. "B-but..where will you sleep?" "I'll be fine."

"N-no you won't, you've been working all day.." You tried to sit up. "I said I'm fine, go to sleep."
He stood up, about to turn away, when you grabbed his hand. "No..stay, I'm cold.." You blushed as you realized what you just said.
"Tch." He said as he approached the bed, climbing in. You blushed at how close you were to each other. He pulled the blanket over you and him. He laid down straight. Then you snuggled up close to him, causing him to stiffen.

"Thank you.." You said as you fell asleep.
