This is "The Wolf" from Alien vs Predator Requiem. I wasnt really too happy with the movie but i thought the Predator in this one was by far the most badass.Ink

Even though Arnold's character may not have made a conscious decision to "become a beast," in effect, that's still what he did, and I fail to see how the writer couldn't have been thinking that when he wrote the movie.
The characters were plenty different. There's the black guy goes crazy, the other black guy who tries to help Arnold keep things under control but still loses himself, the one guy who pulls out the machete and faces the predator head on because he refuses to be hunted and would rather die fighting, the woman who mistifies the idea of the predator as it's something supernatural, and Arnold who tries to stay rational and refuses to be afraid of it. I think the fact that Arnold refuses to see the predator as something supernatural is exemplified by the line, "If it bleeds, we can kill it," reminding the woman and his teammates that what they're facing isn't invincible.
Now, I haven't seen Predators, but all I know about the characters is that they all have different origins. However, just because characters have different backstories doesn't necessarily make them unique or interesting. What matters is what happens in the story proper, the way characters behave and interact with each other. The fact that each of the characters in Predator have a different reaction to being hunted is what really makes them interesting.

Not to me, i watch it to see the yautja obliterate as many people as they can before the main characters get main character syndrome and kill them. they werent that interesting in Predator they bored me so much i only get interested when the predator shows up.

You're not interested in interesting characters, you like watching things kill other things, you don't enjoy scratching the surface of something truly deep and complex, and you hate Watchmen. No, i love connecting with characters especially in video games. Such as Gears of War, I always connected in several movies. Predator is diffrent, its about a badass alien who makes trophies of us. I like the predator. Love it. So i love watching it kill and scare everyone, and the final battles are usually amazing. Aliens, no i dont root for the alien i get pissed cause they kill off all the cool people specially in the second one. Yes i hate watchmen my choice, i love marvel and most everything marvel, DC i only really like a few mostly batman universe, superman is ok. So dont try to insult me.

Gears of War? Those men are animals. It's impossible to identify with them. Except for the guy who's looking for his wife, they simply live to kill.
Wrong. Predator is much more than that, and I fail to see how one could think otherwise.
Who cares if the space marines died in Aliens? They were all redshirts, completely undeveloped characters that the viewer isn't supposed to mind watching get killed.
Whatever. I don't really feel like carrying this conversation on. It's difficult talking to someone who completely disagrees with you. Is the feeling mutual? Anyway, I shouldn't have insulted you, and I'm sorry.

No they have to fight to survive to protect the human race, a losing war they are close to losing completely. I feel that need to survive and win, or in CoD. And they were developed enough we just didnt have enough time with them..and redshirts..ew star trek. But yes we can stop. And thank you.

Well, this was an interesting conversation. I'm definitely going to see Predators, once I get around to it (I'm really bad about that). While I would disagree passionately about Star Trek, on the grounds the Wrath of Khan alone is one of the greatest movies of all time, it's time for this debate to end. I guess it would be nice to continue, but I don't think either of us would make any headway. It's just so exhausting, though not agitating or anything, to debate with someone whose tastes are so perfectly contrary to my own. I mean to say that one of us is more right than the other, we're just totally different. Anyway, thanks for an engaging debate.

Agreed, the overall movie was lacklustre but I loved Wolf. Frankly he acted more like a protagonist than the humans XP. I like how he managed to kill 2 humans just by accident too XD

to bad in every AVP The Predator must die.They sent the wolf since he had survive all the huntings they had that's why one of those teeth exterior his mouth was broken because of war and he was the besdt but he met the end but at least in the game you don't die at the end

Man I would love to know where Wolf got his whip. Looks like an Alien tail with some sort of carbon fibre steel..the same kind they used to make the Acid proof Wrist blades Wolf was wearing. That one scene with the whip was deffo my fave ^_^

he was named after "the wolf" character from Pulp Fiction. in the concept journals they never made any indication that it was broken tusk. despite the resemblance.
