Oh I cannot think of howbadly screwed Slade is. Slade is an incredible fighter and villaim, even if he's picking on young teenagers, but Batman is in a league of his own... (no pun intended)

If I may poke into this convo for a sec...Teen Titans made a single reference to Batman, which was in the episode The Apprentice Part II." Robin is being forced by Slade to work for him and at one point Slade mentions how he might become a father figure to him, at which Point Robin says he already has a father. The camera pans up and you see some bats fly.
Great concept for a drawing though ~bowgallery. The way little Robin is looking up at his mentor is nicely done.

In the first season DVD, they explained why they didn't want to add Batman. It was an 'adult' thing. They wanted to try and stick close to just the teen heroes and leave heroes like Batman and Green Arrow out (Green Arrow is Speedy's mentor). And besides, Batman would just defeat Slade easily (has done so in the comics) and any other villain on the show just by being there
