So there’s two shadows but the one in the bottom is him older

No they are two different shadows from different fan comics. The top one is from 's The Murder of Me comics, or TMOM for short, and the bottom shadow is from 's Ghost of the Future comics or GOTF for short. Actually the one who created the GOTF comics worked on the IDW and Archie Sonic comics. Hope this helps. ^V^

I like the GOTF version has some fur in his Muzzle making him pretty much the Old Joe of sonic
