How could they. How could they remove such a sweet innocent dragon girl like Dragonite? Me (Now in Engineer form) & my Pokemon are absolutely horrified by this news. I just can't accept my sweet little angel being Thanosed out of the game. I just can't.
This Gmod screenshot was base off of the Dragon Tales episode, Cassie Loves a Parade, where Cassie gets rejected from a parade float. Uncoincidentally, my Dragonite is actually named Cassie. (My Charizard being named Zak, Goodra named Wheezie, & Flygon named Ord) She deserves better than this.
We all deserve better than this.

... For now. Gamefreak did recently confirm that adding it in a hotfix is something they can do. And even if you don't have the DLC, no one's ever gonna be stingy over trading you a newborn Dratini...!

Why would I want to trade for a Dratini? I always name my Dragonite Cassie, & I can't name mine if she's from a trade.

First, you can always use the one you got from trade to breed one of your own.
Second, You also named yours Cassie? same here! Mine's a Shiny though. I'm never letting her evolve, because I like Dragonair's Shiny colors a lot more than Dragonite's. That ugly dark green doesn't sit right on a girl imo.
Then again, I'm also under the impression that Pink is an awesome color no matter which gender rocks it...

I guess with certain Pokemon, I just want to catch them myself. Plus, I'm glad to see another person who named their Dragonite Cassie!

They dropped almost every single blasted one of my faves. Galvantula and Charizard are the only two that didn't get axed.
But more egregiously, the game is coded like a mid-stage beta release of Windows: it's full of really stupid bugs, crashes and design problems (the world *freezes in time* when you're on a ladder! And no, I am not making that up), looks like a slightly polished first-generation PlayStation One game at best, has miserable draw distance with heavy object pop-in and Superman 64-style fog in places, and the stupid DynaMaxing gimmick is probably the silliest and downright dumbest I've seen in the whole series to date.
So nah, I won't be buying it anytime soon. The second half releases will just render it subtly incompatible in the ways that matter anyway, so screw Sword and Shield, even if they do fix all the bugs and bad draw distance.

That's very true.Β Β Around half of my favorites were cut from the roster, included, who is my top favorite of them all.Β In addition to many other things in Sw/Sh, the dex cut was one of the many deciding factors in me deciding to not get the Gen VIII games.Β Β I think this is the first generation of PokemonΒ I may skip out on, unless they manage to improve things...
