No, this animal is not an albino. It is the result of several generations of selective breeding.

The iris of the eye is a pink-red color, but the pupil( the slit in the middle) is black and definitely pigmented. This one is not any particular locality, but the result of a mix of locality crosses.

Holy God, is that some social commentary pertaining to modern civilized man's perception of beauty and the soul-crushing endeavor to mesh with that perception?

Because that's what I see. But that's only because of the title. But a piece's title is part of the piece.

Under any other circumstance, I'd abhor having the subject almost dead-center, but the slight Dutch angle, that slight tilt you got going on there (maybe due to the lack of a real solid frame of reference-- the minimal backdrop is intensely disorienting) more than compensates.

Concise. I like that.

I realize that this is an art site, but not all my photos are meant to be artistic. Some are just on here because I needed a place to host them to show people on other sites. I realize placing a subject dead center in most circumstances is a mistake, and if I were trying to make this an artsy photo I would not have. The goal of the photo was to represent the animal as close to what it actually looks like in person, and I feel I accomplished that. As far as the term "designer" being used for an animal, I'm also not fond of it, although that is the name given to line bred snakes by my predecessors in the hobby. It's not a name I made up so please don't bash me.

I wasn't bashing you, I was complimenting you. Sorry, I'll never do it again! What was I thinking!?

Seriously though, my mistake with the subject matter. That being the case, all you really need do is ignore the first statement about the interpretation, and focus more on the statements about technique, dynamics.

Sorry if I interpreted your response wrong. It just sounded a little hostile to me. My mistake.
