How is the mega evolution of banette usdeless, aren't the stats good?

Yeah, but the main draw is it's ability prankster. He would be amazing, but the order in which the pokemon move are decided before the turn begins -- meaning that prankster doesn't take effect until the turn after you mega evolve. :/
Basically, you could either waste a move slot for protect (which is a real sucky alternative because he sort of needs 4 moves to be good), or hope you can find a way to mega evolve it safely in the battle.
Stat wise, he isn't even nearly as good as some of the broken megas.
Basically, he had good stats, but his ability not happening until the next turn hinders him, and since he's a mega, he can't have an item.
He's basically a bad sableye which makes me sad because banette is one of my favorite pokemon and they pretty much got rid of any possibility that he would become good.

By "the same idea" do you mean for just a banette evolution, or for something that looks exactly like Vainquist?
If it's the later, I'd kind of prefer if it doesn't look exactly like Vainquist, or if you credit me for the original design.
Of course, I probably sound like an assuming ass for that, but I'd prefer if people wouldn't do similar ideas as me.

However, if you just mean making a new banette evo, sure go ahead.
I'm also kind of jealous of your ability to make hacked roms. :b

I mean a banette evo that is ventriloquist or puppeteer themed. Except instead of real strings he would use psychic powers to puppeteer, because I was trying to use the unused type combos and no ghost/psychic has been made. And you don't sound like an ass I completely understand your position. And don't be jealous of the rom thing. I was an amateur and it was extremely hard and I never even finished. I had some really cool ideas though.

Oh ok. That sounds really cool though. I can't really take the idea for a puppeteer. It's kind of fate that banette would turn into that if it evolved. Be sure to link it to me when it's done. :3
