HiFoo includes its own statistics system and rating engine for taging your music file, but you can install foo_playcount component ([link] ) if you want to handle stats thru an external database and not in music file (HiFoo checks if foo_playcount.dll is installed or not ^^)

Great skins but is there a Tuto for foobar 1.1.7 skins ?
I have read ALL the instructions and nothing comes as it goes in the installation steps notes.
I just can not figure out HOW to install it, I found ALL the directories; no prob; downloaded the fonts
installed foobar and nothing happens.
All the how toΒ΄s in google are for very previous version of foobar wich it seemed to have
a folder named xxxUI but not even creating it comes like the instructions explains.
Please I could use a link for a good tuto or some help, thank you.

Can I ask you a thing? I'm not intrested in lyrics and info's about artist both automatically downloaded. Lyrics are stored in tags and images of artist in the same folder of components. Since i don't need these features how can I turn both off?

no group rating possible. only the selected song or now playing song (depending of the TF Mode)

but possible with context menu (default foobar way) : select your tracks (group) then right-click > Properties and then edit RATING tag

It's a little bit tricky, at least one song must already be rated, otherwise the rating tag is hidden.

not quite filter, i suppose, but if i select my artist/album with the far right of the six unlabeled tabs, i can't select another without stopping the current playback at the end of the current song

If I understand you correctly, you choose something in the library tree and can't choose something else until the end of the current song. Correct? If so - very odd. Have you tried reinstalling Foobar2000 and HiFoo? I guess it's worth a try...

maybe we could save time if he gives better explaination, i can't help when i don't understand, maybe he want just starting a new track to play when he use the library tree entries, for that, he have to change the behaviour in library tree settings for double/simple/middle click actions ...

okay, i think i know what I'm trying to say. how can i select a new artist or album in the tree without interrupting the previously chosen playlist? As in, If I'm listening to Sgt. Pepper's lonely hearts club band, how can I look at Exile on Main Street without stopping the previous album at "Billy sheeeaaaarrrsssss!!!!" and going into rocks off instead of with a little help from my friends? How can i view my library without changing my playlist in any way?

yes, i've explained it above, glad to see you've found it alone, just select 'none' on click action to avoid to change the playlist content

First off, lovely skin. I'm going to be using it for a while, that's for sure.
I've found a quirk with it though. I'm unable to delete playlists. Normally you can just right-click and playlist and choose to remove it, but that option is gone for some reason when I use this skin.
Any suggestions?

Hm... I updated to 1.7.5 because of the new lyrics panel. Every time I click some track in the playlist the whole config stutters. The peak meter stops, the lyrics stops, the song stops - it's only for a very, very, very, very, very, very, very small short time... but anyway, it's kinda annoying. I hope you understand my problem, otherwise I'm gonna have to put a video up on youtube ^^

I don't think that necessary. I installed 1.7.5 on the computer at work, no stuttering. I believe I just had to reboot my computer back at home

I have a question: Can i install this release (HiFoo 1.7.5) over the older version i have (1.7.3) without uninstalling Foobar2000 and start the whole process from scratch?

read installation notes, it's ALREADY explained what to do!
"If you want to update an existing HiFoo config, you MUST delete the previous .../skins/HiFoo folder before extracting the new .Zip file, otherwize, it could generate some WSH crash later!"

i don't think so, what you show is the biography panel and the artist picture from last.fm
lyrics panel is here, 3rd switch button in the right panel

and by default, right panel show library, not show biography, may be he don't know about it, just tell him switch to fifth button, i guess that's he want to ask
