What's this, a new season art? Crazy, right? Anyway here's a scene from season 6 that I thought looked kinda cool. Of course at this point everyone and their mother probably already drew this scene too, but I guess that's what I get for watching new episodes 4 weeks after they were aired. Also I'm not sure how effective blasting storm clouds with magic lasers is, but who am I to question royalty.Step-by-step

Потрясающе. И снова чудесная работа с Луной и Её сестрой — они выглядят изумительно. Хмурый взгляд Луны всегда будоражит...чудо. Эпично и достаточно динамично.
Всё интересное в 6 сезоне пропускаю, судя по всему. Но я до сих пор не могу найти мужества на просмотр одной оставшейся 13-ой серии 5 сезона, чтобы приступить к 6-ому. Хотя при этом я натыкаюсь на кучу артов, которые в принципе пересказывают все новые серии чуть ли не дословно.

True, but there has to be some thought in what you're doing and why, otherwise, like some other artists, you can stagnate and just do everything on 'autopilot', without challenging yourself or experimenting, every piece ends up very similar and boring.
And sometimes I feel like I get worse with each drawing, even if there's an upward trend overall

Your previous piece with those two was already fantastic. This one is even better. More dynamism, more action... and more details. Mostly their more realistic equine traits.
I like the way you drawn those "shoes". Their size make more sense. Same for their collars and especially Luna's who look less of a bib.

I tend to think of their collars somewhat like a chain that Maesters in Song of Ice and Fire wear, so I prefer to give them this heavy solid look.

Yeah. They are beautiful, majestic and gracious. But Twi tend to be more... cute. Only beat by Flurry's. And you deliver on the plan of beauty quite masterfully.
They give the collars a plain design for sake of animation, but the way they look how you drawn in this piece is far superior.

I've gotta say, using beams against a storm just seems dumb. It's like trying to stop a blast wave with a fire hose. You want something with a wide-range area of effect, and a beam is pretty much the exact opposite of that.

I love how Celestia's jewelry really looks metallic, and how their hooves are more realistic with their joints and fur!

It's just that sisters rarely tend to do anything together, or at all actually
And I usually like to draw ponies with a somewhat realistic anatomy and textures, that's kinda my thing. ^^ I actually toned it down for this picture.

Thanks! Yeah, I hope some day we get another epic and well-paced episode like Twilight's Kingdom, so far none of the episodes in the new seasons came even close to that unfortunately.
