"Will Miss Marvel, I mean...will Mindy Marvel be joining us?"

"No, she prefers to be out of the public eye when not serving the people and her city."

"That's fair, let me get down to business. We'd like to make a animated series about Mindy and her adventures."

"Well, that's an interesting idea..."

"We are willing to commit to a 13-episode series for our network's streaming platform with an option to show those episodes during the Saturday morning broadcast window."

"And what would Mindy's involvement be in this?"

"We would give her an executive producer and created by credit in exchange for consulting with our writers for stories."

"I'm not sure her stories are exactly kid friendly...and using real life events, even for an animated series, could open her, your production company, and the network for lawsuits. Counteroffer: Scripts come to my attention at the Foundation and Mindy and I will review them."

"Ok, any other requests?"

"Yes, the show should meet the United States broadcasting standards for Educational and Informational Programming."

"That will limit the amount and type of advertising we were planning on selling."

"Mindy is very protective of her brand image, so any potential advertisers would have to be approved by her."

"Ok..."

"And there will be a segment at the end of every episode that showcases the Girl Scouts of America and their work."

"Anything else?"

"Yes, in lieu of a salary, the network and production company will make a donation to the Girl Scouts and a charity of her choosing."

Melissa walked in with a set of papers that Melinda requested for the producer to review.

"Oh, hi!" Melissa said cheerfully to the television producer. "Melissa Doherty, you may remember me from my 3-episode stint on WHiPs...Wisconsin Highway Patrol. I was the rookie policewoman on the motorcycle patrol..."

"Um...sure..."

"Melissa is an excellent actress and I think she would be perfect for the voice of Mindy in the cartoon." Melinda added as Melissa handed him another folder with her headshot, a list of film and television credits, a link to her demo reel, and various other items. A picture slid out of the folder onto the floor and Melinda picked it up.

Melinda looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"I, um, think it would be good for the show for Misty Marvel to have a regular appearance on it..." Melissa said sheepishly.

"Adding other characters seems like a bad idea, especially early on. I mean, can you imagine a webpage, let alone a show, having Mindy, Misty, Midori, The Tesla Twins, Sabrina Swift, Tessa Terrific, The British Bombshells, The Avian Angels, Amazon, Liberty, and Bauhinia showcased?

(Melinda looks towards the reader.)

"No, I can't imagine anyone would be able to keep up with, let alone develop a connection with all those characters. It seems like a Brad...excuse me, a bad idea."

"I don't know, I think having a superpowered blonde in the show would be a good thing..." Melissa replied.

"So, you've cast the lead voice actress for the show, gave Mindy's parameters for participation, and terms of the agreement. I would call this a productive meeting. I'll look over the documents provided, and we'll be in touch."

Melinda got up from her chair and shook the man's hand, who also shook Melissa's. After exchanging pleasantries, he left her office and took the elevator down to the lobby and exited the building.

"Thanks for getting me that job Mel, and it won't interfere with my work here since I can record and upload the voice tracks at home."

"No problem, happy to help out...Tiffany and Ashley will be upset that they'll have to wait until at least season two."

"And Isla?"

"She would only make the show if it was on Adult Swim's late-night block." Melinda replied as they laughed.

"I had some other pictures made, to sell him on the idea that Misty Marvel should be on the show" Melissa said as she handed another photo.

"But I thought it best that the guest star shouldn't eclipse the main character." Melissa continued as she giggled and left to go back to her desk.

"Very funny..."
