Ive been dying to do a sci-fi monster piece for a long time now and this one has elements that ive been trying to incorporate into a composition for a long time.
I glanced at a few photos of various abandoned factories, camcorders and CDC biohazard suits for accuracy's sake, in addition to several close-up stills of a couple 80's horror movies used to get the expression I wanted for the foreground victim.

What's really cool about this is the thinking after the initial shock.
Why was that monster contained? What were they doing to him? Is he the same as the other monsters still sleeping in the background? Was he human once?

It means a lot to get compliments like this; I really try and get a story going with the viewer and it lets me know that ive succeeded on some level.
