Ive been dying to do a sci-fi monster piece for a long time now and this one has elements that ive been trying to incorporate into a composition for a long time.
I glanced at a few photos of various abandoned factories, camcorders and CDC biohazard suits for accuracy's sake, in addition to several close-up stills of a couple 80's horror movies used to get the expression I wanted for the foreground victim.

A most captivating and stunning piece. I like the slightly tilted angle indicating chaos or something falling, perhaps the 'camera'. The recording feeds a sort of realism to the whole capture.
Technically speaking, I'm in a jaw drop by the skill exercised in this work.

Technical mastery aside, I'm very impressed with the confronting atmosphere; the monsters having a direct gaze at the viewer, very unnerving. The overall darkness of the monster added with those sharp highlights make it a shadowy presence that at the same time has its slimey details right in your face. Technical brilliance is one thing, you get extra points for evoking an emo reaction.. *shudder*

There it is again! The two colors of a fantastic piece of art! Red and Blue! I love this piece. It has the feel of Resident Evil/Halflife and the monster looks like he could have come from Pirates of the Carribean or Star Wars! Fantastic piece!....Oh, did I tell you it was good!?
