Cool concept. Excellent paintwork too! From the background to the scientists to all the little details and the tv screen that obviously is going to shut down in a second -- all of it is very well painted. Brilliant work!

Only criticism I have is about the wall in the background: it somehow seems very near/close by, which I don't think was the intention -- might have to do with the perspective or colours on the wall. Nevertheless, it remains a classy scene.

I like the detail on the creature, how the light outlines its small hair and wrinkles, the scientist has a very intense, realistic expression and I like the camera angle. You have achieved a beautiful monster piece and a fav from me ^^

Very nice. Captivating atmosphere and astonishing execution, considering the level of realism, the composition, the dynamism, etc.

My only critic concerns the monster's design that I find a bit... boring maybe? The main issue IMO is the face. The mix betweem the tentacles(mandibles?) and a somewatch human-like figure looks uneven to me. I would've imagined the eyes to be more animal-like, the shape of the head, more unnatural, etc.

But then again, who am I to judge Niece piece, +fav

You are the viewer - so you have every right to judge.

Im sorry you found the creature design to be on the boring side; I intentionally gave the creature humanity, I wanted to influence the story the viewer may or may not create in thier mind in that direction. I put the clone on the right for the same reasons.

It needs more depth. It's hard to percieve where the monster is comming from , to me it 1. looks like he's risen from the floor , or 2. , hes morphed out of the wall behind him. If the BG behind him had more depth it would be more percievable. But , your style and technical drawing skills are flawless.

Inspired by "Ghosthunters" actually, on sci-fi!
Ghosthunters, Lovecraft and C.H.U.D. were the inspiration for this piece.
In addition to Slayer, the Alien Trilogy soundtrack and Skinny Puppy - music has a profound influence on me when working.

I need to watch this "Ghosthunters" show.. Only seen previews for it, but it sounds good.

I thought you might have been inspired by Cloverfield because in some of the viral marketing for the film, there was a video inside a refinery that reminded me of this picture.

And agreed about listening to soundtracks and such while making art... It really gets the creative juices flowing.
