Description This is my creature for the Avatar Contest. here is the summary.

Common Name: Pandzilla

Na'vi Name: Goja'torin or Mysterious Giant

Taxonomy: Pandzillon Maxus or "Secrective Goliath"

Habitat: RainForest, Grassland, Swamps and Seas.

Anatomy: Armored Back, Dorsal Plates, Bioluminesecnt Markings, Sexual Dimorphisim in Which the Males are either Greens, Blues, or Blacks while Females are Browns, Reds, or Oranges in colorization, the Young being more Brightfully Colored, Tree crushing jaws and Powerful, replacable teeth.

Feeding Ecology: Strictly Herbivorous, Amphibious Omnivore with an occasional urge to consume any Animal Matter.

Size: Reaches up to 15.24 meters in height , up to 18 Meters in Length.

This animal is far by the Second Largest Creature in Pandora, the First being the Twilight Leviotron. although not particularly rare, this behemoth is very seldom seen by both na'vi and humans, due to its camouflage and its amphibious nature, being occasionally seen out at sea. The species resembles one of the famous movie stars on earth known as, Godzilla. They also behave like elephants, the females and young moving together in social groups while the adult males are solitary, coming together only to mate. They can feed high in the tree tops and swim long distances in sea levels for food in case of any shortages. Because of its elusive nature, Na'vi have rarely celebrated it in any songs or dances, yet they can tell the gender of any individual of the species. The most Recent sighting is from a Na'vi farmer who have claimed to have seen a lone male with a Juvenile female, which indicates that some Males can have parental care for one of its offspring.

awesome creature and concept.

Cameron stated that the second film will focus more on the oceans, and there are also rumors of the villains in the second film being giant invading alien bugs. One idea that could be used to incorporate this creature is to use it as a new water based creature that the Na'vi ride, perhaps a new Toruk Macto for Jake to ride while fighting the alien bugs. Another concept I've thought of is having the RDA return and after getting whooped by the bugs, join forces with the Na'vi, even giving them some of their weaponry in the final battle. Imagine Jake riding a Pandzilla mounted with GUNS...

Also, I would suggest having multiple Pandzillas in the final battle, perhaps having Jake controlling another monster, perhaps an even rarer predator of the Pandzilla. As you said, the Pandzilla are sauropods, this other creature could be more of a T-rex like animal.

Thoughts?

Impressive creature! I've also noticed how it looks like it came out of a Toho movie.

it is....usually, but it will become very ferocious and savage if it's family, herd, or it's territory is at risk from the RDA.

And is this creature the Na'vi equivalent of the elephant? Cause you did mention that it behaves much like an elephant.
