Description Hey folks. I colored an old drawing of mine. I used GIMPShop, and it was kind of difficult because I'm not really used to working on shading while I'm coloring. I'm surprised that this isn't the ugliest thing I've ever seen, but I do know that there's room for improvement. Any comments or advice would be encouraged, as always. Also, I'm toying with the idea of buying colored pencils and practicing my hand coloring. Any advice on that? Brands of pencils, or anything?
And like before, this character of Maxine Hunkel a.k.a. Cyclone is property of DC Comics, and this picture is for the most part a copy out of Justice Society of America #1, the main difference being I changed the background and the frame, which I think look pretty good how she's kind of flying out of the panel.

Wow, the color really helps the movement along. A wonderful job. ^_^

The shading on this is really nice and the freckles look really good. I don't know about brands of colored pencils [I use crayola], but as far as advice goes don't be afraid to layer or mix colors together. I know it sounds simple but a lot of people don't consider that.
