I'm sure you've heard "ironic" and "RIP" a thousand times already today, so I'll skip that and go straight to my question- what technique did you use for this? Aquatint, hardground, photointaglio? I'm particularly impressed by how regular the dot pattern is and how controlled the hatching is. Nice work.

i used aquatint to avoid an open bite, and the cross hatching was for the same reason. thanks so much!

Amazing etching(?), I love the lines and patterns on his face. You've really captured the feeling of the original picture, yours is more dark and morbid I think.

After this tragedy, the man is going to be immortalized. Sadly enough, because of his death the next Batman film is going to become a huge phenomenon. I love Batman, but its just sad how people's deaths can be used to make money.

Really love how you captured the different tones of the face by using different..... strokes? Hatching? Texture? I'm not sure what the correct etching term would be. I'm especially impressed by how you managed to nail the difference between the smear across the lips and the lips themselves. I could never do that. Very well rendered.

Oh I know by this point you've heard the word ironic about 50 million times but honestly it really is. I didn't see this the first few times I went to the front page but now that I heard the news of his death it kind of jumped out at me. It's kind of creepy actually. You really did an amazing job on this, which I'm sure you don't hear enough of anymore.
