Omg, what's that? It's a Kiwistang, or more accurately, a Kaimanawa. ^^ Her name's Desperaya. On top of her is my youngest team member, Jazz Gray. I think Jazz's design changed the most out of my characters, I haven't really drawn her a lot digitally, but I have been drawing her traditionally. She's changed from brown to blue and now to green eyes. I think the only thing I haven't changed about her is the fact she's blind in her left eye. Anyway, I'm glad I finally finished this. I almost forgot the WIP of this and found it again yesterday.Despite not feeling too well that morning, Jazz got up, knowing that it was time to start working again. A look towards her alarm clock told her that it was 6 am, not the most comfortable time to roll out of bed, especially with a headache and a sore throat. Lazily she put on her clothes, more dragging her feet than walking.
When she went over to the stables, Lillian was there already though.
"Huh? Morning Lia. Up already?" Jazz asked quite confused.
"Good morning Jazz. 'Already' is the wrong word I think... It's almost 9 am after all. Is everything alright with you? You look pale." Lillian replied, giving Jazz a worried look.
"Wait, 9 am? My alarm clock said it's only 6 am. Oh that stupid thing... Maybe the batteries are discharged again." Jazz mumbled. Then she walked past Lillian, not answering the blonde women's question.
Lillian shook her head and continued to sweep the floor.
With a whistle Jazz called for Raya. The palomino roan mare trotted towards her rider and greeted her with a nuzzle. Jazz patted the horse's neck and led her over to the stables. Usually the mare would have been in the stable, but someone must have turned her out when they noticed Jazz wasn't around for the training lesson.
"Sorry for the delay. I overslept..." Jazz whispered towards the mare and started grooming her.
When she was finished with putting the tack on Raya, Jazz grabbed the mare's light blue blanket and threw it over her back. While she led the mare to the outdoor arena, Jazz felt a bit dizzy and had to lean on Raya for support, but eventually she cleared up again. She had been in bed for the past two weeks, the flu had struck her down pretty bad, but she was bored and tired of laying around all day.
"Better late than never, huh?" A voice reached Jazz's ears. It was Gale, leaning on the fence of the arena.
"You know I was sick. Besides, my alarm clock didn't work." Jazz defended herself, struggling to get onto Raya's back.
"Yeah, I know you have excuses for everything." He said harshly, grabbing her leg to help her up.
Jazz wanted to pull away, but she decided not to get in a fight with him again. With Gale's help she climbed onto the mare's back. Usually she could mount her no problem, even without a saddle, but today she had no strength.
"Maybe you should have stayed in bed. But now you're here, so you should work her appropriately. Keep in mind she hasn't worked a lot during the past two weeks, so don't overdo it." Gale said with a slide undertone, before he left the arena, walking back to the stables.
"Jerk..." Jazz mumbled. Ever since she had accidentally caused him to fall off of Celair, she had a hard time talking to him.
Pushing her heels softly into Raya's sides, Jazz started the training lesson for the mare. The palomino was somewhat stiff, not really a surprise though, considering she hadn't worked a lot while Jazz was sick. While she sat on the back of a horse, Jazz hardly noticed anything around her. She was focused on her task. Her disability had never impacted her that much. It was annoying sometimes, especially when she attempted to jump and she was terribly afraid of driving a car, but she was glad she could see at all. One eye was a thousand times better than being completely blind. Those two factors didn't let her notice Gale, who was watching her the whole time. Lillian and Sheila had scolded him countless times for being mean to Jazz and he felt kind of guilty for teasing her again, hence why he decided to make sure she wouldn't fall off of her horse.
When she eventually noticed him, Jazz winced, making Raya come to a halt.
"Sorry, didn't want to scare you." Gale apologized.
"What are you doing there, did you watch me?" Jazz asked, all confused again.
"Lillian was worried about you, because you still look quite sick, so she asked me to keep an eye on you." He lied, although he knew Lillian had been worried by her demeanor.
"Oh, I'll need to thank her for worrying then. I'm much better now though." Jazz returned and grabbed the horse blanket from the fence.
"Hehe... yeah, do that. I'll go now..." He said and left.
"I just don't get that guy, do you Raya? Let's give you some nice apples, you did great sweetie." Jazz praised the mare before returning to the stables.

Thank you. <3
Nahh, I promise it really is just a flu. Poor Jazz is allergic to quite some medications and has to rely on the more "natural" stuff, which takes her longer to get well again. Good for her she doesn't get sick easily, but if she's sick she needs bed rest for some time :[ - no suspicion needed yet - save all the suspicion for the main story

Haha, stop damaging yourself with your storyline. xD
Jazz says thank you c:
I can say so much that my storyline is less based on physical damage, but more on psychological damage. ^^ Of course Cora is involved.
