Description You know this kind of dog. The kind smart enough to know how to open the fridge, but so dumb that it gets confused by echoes and barks at the neighbors who gave it a bone yesterday.

I have this kind of dog. Granted, she's only 4 months old, but still...

The artist whom I took the stamp base from is Wingless_Butterfly55.

She's not stupid, she's just a genius.
Honestly, you really shouldn't have a dog if you call her names like this.

My dog in a nutshell.
She's smart enough to open the door to the office when I had it open the tiniest bit,
but stupid enough to bark when I just go in my room! XD

I still wuv her though

She's not stupid. Calling a dog stupid or other forms of verbal abuse is not a sign of love.

My brother has a 4 year old shitzu yorkie, and everytime someone leaves the front door open, she gets out when no one is looking!

The kind of dog that is locked into the kitchen when we leave, 'cause he's just a puppy, but always finds a way out. Despite this, he doesn't seem to understand that his tail is a part of him, no matter how many times he bites it, or figure out that he should steal the food when we are not looking. Both of my dogs got it bad, one more so than the other.

Oh yeah. I don't have my own dog at the moment (just my brother and Sister-in-law's dog since we all live together with me and my parents. A chihuahua mix that doesn't much like me),
but I did lose my Queensland Heeler/Sharpei mix Wiley in September of 2010. Bless his heart and RIP, he was the king of stupid geniuses. This was a very smart dog (he would dig around for a ball and when he was little we once played a doggy variation of hide 'n seek), but there were also instances of stupid-like sticking his head into a working fireplace to retrieve a stick.
(He was far enough away not to get hurt, but even most dogs know fire=bad.)
There were several other instances of stupidity, but none come to me at this time.
Great, amazing dog and I loved him, but OMG, this stamp should be in his honor.

OMG, this reminds me of the time I almost got into an argument with people (yes, more then one person), on Cute Overload after trying to explain that the majority (Meaning most, but _not_ _all_) of dogs are stupid, or at least not very smart. This was all over a video of a dog
who didn't try to go through a door without glass on it. I also tried to say that dogs have the intelligence of a five year old, and people didn't understand that either.

Everyone said the dog in the video was smart for not going through the door. Eh, I call it stupid genius. I'm glad on DA, people get it. Dogs are not geniuses by any means and they do a lot of stupid crap, but they can also be smart...just not all the time.

That's my puppy! Smart enough to figure out the word "Sit" in five minutes but barks at the computer when I'm watching a video of somebody kicking a wall! XD

That's sure the truth. My aussie is smart enough to unlatch the gate with her paw, and yet when she escaped before I built the fence, she ran around in front of the car in the driveway and almost got hit.

Or my border collie who understands a variety of things in english and yet he'll waste his one midnight bathroom break eating bird food out of the dirt. *facepalm*

I love them to bits though

My dog is four *years* old and he's like that, lol. Smart enough to knock over the trash can but dumb enough to start barking when I tap my fingers on the glass door--when we were both inside.
