Description Right you are, Maxie. X3

I've never seen any of the Disney Channel teen shows, so I can't decipher on whether I like them or not. But all I know is, I'm 100% positive that the classic animated movies/shows will be a lot better. Including the classic live-action ones.

BTW, I just mean that back then, there weren't those teen shows that are on now; instead, it was all animation. Oh and also, I'm referring to sequels and prequels too. Plus, The Princess and the Frog, Tangled, and Frozen are awesome, and I'm sure Big Hero 6 is too, but I haven't seen it.

The screencap is from Timon: Behind the Legend, by the way.

Yep. Which is why I prefer those over 3D any day.

Me too. I don't know, 3D is just too "real" for me. It seems to me that when you make movie using only CGI, there is some "disconnection" between animator and viewer. They try to make everything realistic and while I think it's certainly really difficult and they have to be great artist to accomplish that, it's just so cold and "impersonal" in the end... I think traditional animation has definitely its own personality (I probably sound like a psycho, now ) and is in general more appealing than 3D art. But hey, just my opinion.

To be honest... the more they make them realistic, the more I feel like they won't be toons anymore. It freaks me out... T_T

Yeah... however 2D animation is coming back by a bunch of ex-Disney employees. Have you heard of Hullabaloo?

Wow, really? I've never heard of it! What is it?

TheiCarlyAngel In reply to Siljera [2015-02-24 10:47:42 +0000 UTC]

Hullabaloo is a 2D animated movie that has the same style like Disney animation. A bunch of Disney employees are now getting together and animating the film since they're reach their goal to get enough money to make the film. There's a clip of it here:

Aww, it looks SO GOOD! I'm super excited about this project, it sure gives us hope for 2D animation. Wish there was more people like that out there. I don't understand why is traditional and 2D animation so unpopular in these days. Sure, it probably takes more time to produce, but I think it would have great support among fans... Β

TheiCarlyAngel In reply to Siljera [2015-02-24 12:16:24 +0000 UTC]

Well, for a few possible reasons:
1.) The animators are lazy and 3D is easier to animate with.
2.) They wanted to do 3D for modern day viewer's.
3.) They've closed down 2D animation studios for a while because they didn't have an idea in mind for a 2D animated movie. Except when it came to a fox film and the new princess moving coming out years later, but Disney changed their minds and decided to stick with 3D.

Oh, I see... That's unfortunate. I really fear that 2D animation dies soon...

Oh. Well usually, CGI (3D) movies don't get my attention all that much. The tradional (2D) movies are what get my attention. X3

I'd say Sofia The First brings back the classic Disney magic with a hint of My Little Pony's friendship into it. I'd recommend it. I love the show.

All I know is, sometimes any one of the Disney princesses appears in some episodes.

TheiCarlyAngel In reply to BrainyxBat [2015-02-24 02:46:24 +0000 UTC]

That's true too. Also Disney cameos. Like if you've seen Bambi II, The Great Prince appears in one of the episodes in a forest as a background character.
