I had a half hour to burn a few weeks ago and went and sat by the banks of a river, when after a while this guy turned up. I'd never seen one in this spot before. I took quite a few photos, and couldn't sort through which I wanted to post, which is why it's taken this long. I won't overdo it, but I'll test the waters with this one.

All these photos are hampered by this stand-in telephoto lens, which I'll just say has some issues, especially if you point it near sunlight on water. The green in the rocks which you're going to see is real, though. It's the colour of this weed which gets exposed at low tide. It really does look almost fluorescent and vaguely unnatural
