The others don’t bring up Steve’s past often because they’re worried it’s a sore subject. But teen Spidey doesn’t have that filter, and is just excited to meet a guy from the 40s. Steve enjoys it - it’s not often he gets reminded of the happy parts of his early life.Related content

I swear this gives me an awesome idea for a fanfic where Steve is unfrozen before Peter's parents died and Steve attempted to save them but failed. Guilt ridden he goes and adopts Peter and when Peter gets bitten by a radioactive spider Steve trains him

Perfect capture of Spidermans personality. Even though he is a superhero, he is a teenager first and foremost and its easy to see how he could get starstruck by Cap.
