their younger years and they were human. one night while they were
out enjoying the stars, a rogue, vicious vampire attacked Katherine and
tried dragging her away but Damon jumped the vampire and the two got
into a fight, disappearing into the night. Katherine spent the night searching
for Damon with no luck and her worried mother came and told her to go home
and stop searching for her boyfriend because he was gone. she soon sent out
the police and the town was in a panic but Damon was never found. Katherine kept
searching for him and when she finally found him, she no longer recognized him.
