Prologue

I was so glad to be out of there.

Finally, I was on my own. All of the money I had saved up for this plane ticket was worth every penny. Now I could finally see my relatives in Italy again. They were nice to me, unlike my own family. They wouldn't mind my existence.

"Hello, and welcome to European Airlines," the flight attendant spoke aloud. "Please enjoy your stay as we make our way to Liverpool, England."

Wait a minute. Liverpool? That's not Naples! I must have misheard her… I hope I misheard her.

Sitting next to me was a man who was probably aged in his fifties. "Um, excuse me sir," I began, "but that woman said this flight was going to Liverpool, right?"

"Yes," he replied, "Liverpool, England."

"Well, that's a relief," I replied while hiding my sarcasm, "I thought I got on the wrong plane for a second there. I thought she said Naples, Italy."

"Naples? I don't see how you get 'Naples' from 'Liverpool,' the man said to me, "But it's a good thing that you got on the right flight, otherwise you'd be in a tough situation."

"Yeah, I would," I said darkly yet politely; turning away in deep thought. What am I going to do now? I don't have that much money to live on; only some taxi money and a few extra dollars. Where can I live? Where will I go?

But then I remembered the flight attendant and the man's words: "Liverpool, England." Liverpool? Who in America didn't know the four men that lived there? Maybe, just maybe, this could be fun…
