I can't give a proper critique, nor have I ever tried.... but I'll type something.
Wow, I looked up images of these creatures, and I believe I like your design best, it is an animal or beast, as opposed to a vague entity, with a design that it could feasibly move with, unlike many of the others. The color scheme and setting for it is dramatic, and the pink, blue, purple, and grey hues add to the emotional intensity of the scene. The lighting is also interesting, how it comes straight down from above, with the bolts, and how it glistens on the winged beast's bodies, as they cling to the walls. The creature as a whole is certainly unique, and I like the many mouthed design, as well as the slightly sauropod/dragon body type it has. The bony scythe on its back is also a nice touch. The shading and such is also impressive, the only critique I can think of at the moment is a slight lack of texture for the rocks and parts of the walls in the foreground. All together, an impressive and amazing piece, you should be so proud of yourself.

the composition is really good and i like how you used the colours to bring out the emotion
the lightning in the background is a nice touch, so is the warrior

I am sorry, but the first thing I thought was, "NOM NOM NOM!" There is sooooo much detail everywhere. From his little knuckles to the faces of the rocks and such. I think the lighting is a little off. With the lightning hitting the creatures back maybe there should be more secondary lighting from that in addition to the light coming from above. Such as, if you wanted more impact with the lightning, put hard light on the rock faces around him? Just a thought. I couldn't do this anytime soon though. /envy
