Finally it is holiday!! After finishing most of my other works, i started painting this picture for about 5 days, on and off, this is my first digital painting that was done 100% using photoshop, without working on a handrawn lineart. I used quite alot of layers while i was painting this in order to create better depths. I was inspired by my favourite artists, Matt Gaser and Dodecaden. Comments please, tell me what is wrong with this painting and i hope you people will like it, thanks!!Related content

But... albeit its amazingness, I have the feeling that the lighting is a little confusing?

thank you very much, haha, that's the reason why i painted this picture, to try out multiple lighting, real life there are a lot of light sources everywhere, moon light, artificial lights, light from the characters, reflective lights from surfaces like the character themselves, buildings, clouds, sky, mountains, even particles in the air reflect lights, i did make it more obvious but still keep it down in order to avoid making it look fake

I used to imagine to live in such a wonderful and happiness city too

i kinda saw through some of your work, i think you are very much influenced by Japanese anime and tv series, cos your character desgin reminded me of the monsters in Kamen rider or Ultraman, not saying it is not good but you should not just restrict yourself to just that style, see more do more.
Figure sketching part, do more, observe more, study seniors' work, good senior work, ask from lecturers
