Description

After breaking into the empire’s education facility, the squad that accompanied Bram had fallen into the hands of the cruel Team Flare. They were careless, again. The plan was so simple that they forgot the empire would anticipate their arrival. They would get in, learn what they could, get out all while maintaining complete stealth. If they did come across Sam, they were to confirm on whether he was with them. From what they heard from what Bea said to him he was to be repurposed into a warrior, but they hadn't spotted him on street yet in the past 3 days.

It was no longer a question of what happened. They knew Bram would come back. And they let them right inside of their base of re-education. The resistance was so desperate to learn what the empire was doing in there, that they allowed this squad to infiltrate the facility. While they were searching for the place, they tripped the alarm.

Inside, they found Sam. Sam was stuck inside of a chamber which filled up with a mysterious gas, wearing strange flare attire. It wasn't what the grunts or the admins were wearing. It was different, like a prep outfit. They didn't hesitate and broke the glass; fully aware they were giving away their cover. When Bram got a slight whiff of the gas, he found it hard to think. His mind got a little bit foggy, like he was forgetting stuff. Realizing it was the gas, the squad leader covered Brams’s mouth and nose and screamed for the others to do the same. Right when they were about to leave, the whole room got surrounded by grunts and fire type pokemon. The resistance squad realized they messed up and didn't gather anything worthwhile, and now they were going to get captured.

Bram, who had just recovered from his inhaling from the gas, realized he only had one pokemon left that could possibly break through. He knew he only had 5 shots at this, due to his friends PP running out. He knew he was tired. He also knew what would happen if he didn't try, and what that would mean for him and his squad. So, in a desperate attempt to safe his friends, he threw out Gyarados. The water behemoth, who had been around for a while, was old. Over the years, he had been in many predicaments alongside his trainer. He had been in so many battles, but none like this. The odds were stacked against them. And he was running out of energy and time... Despite his old age however, he broke through. With a gigantic waterfall he disoriented the enemies, while clearing a path. In split second, the resistance started to run. Bram carried Sam with him, in a desperate attempt to save him. The squad leader, who saw he was struggling, realized Bram wasn't going to make it at this pace. He weighed the odds and realized the best odds for getting the information they learned to the rest of the resistance, was for these two to get out. Sam was a crucial asset in learning what this ignition program truly was, and for them to understand it... someone had to escape this place alive.

The squad leader did what he thought was rational. He turned around, threw out his pokemon, and started holding back the grunts. They quickly swarmed him, but the example was clear to the rest of the squad. They all started holding back the grunts. When Bram realized what they were doing, he wanted to turn around and help them. He had Gyarados, he could seriously do some damage and help them make it out! But his sleep deprived brain made it hard for him to think straight... Before he could help, he saw at the end of the hallway the same admin who had caught his friend: Bea. He recognized her now. He realized he was outclassed. He had to run. He had to make up for the mistake.

Bea: "Surrender at once, members of the resistance. Your efforts are futile. Return the recruit to his proper containment area to continue his education!"
Bram: "Screw you... I'm not...."
Bea: "Do not resist. You have nowhere to go! I'm warning you"
Bram: "(Calm down... don't let her get to you... don't make the same mistake twice...)"

He shakes his friends shoulders. Bram: "Wake up Sam, please! I need you to run with me, okay?! I'm not..."
He notices Bea getting closer. His friends aren't holding out much longer. He throws out Gyarados again.
Bea: "Do not let them escape! The resistance is nothing in the face of Flare Empire!!
Bram then carries Sam on his back. He grips his friends leggs tight.

Bram: "I'm not leaving you alone again! We are getting out of here, no matter what!!!"
And with those words, Gyarados destroys the wall with his last dragons breath. Only three moves left....
After the smoke clears, Bea sees the two jumping down through the hole they made, onto the streets of Lysandre city...
Now they are lost in the streets, while the Empire is on high alert. Not many have dared to retrieve people who have been sent to re-education, let alone escaped...

Will they be all right? Only time will tell...

A bit of a follow up to what happened in the last the control room/caught in action. I liked the idea of making a bit of a comicbook frontpage for this story. I know this looks really confusing considering the order of the story, but whatever.
I'm gonna try and expand the empire a little bit, I got one admin ready to go and another three in the making. They are a bit of a set, which I will introduce soon. I hope you'll all like them! Also, I don't know if I'll make a continuation of the caught in action storyline. Maybe I will, maybe I won't. We'll see
