Description The monster emerged from the darkness of the corridor, slow, silent, but determined. His cruel yellow eyes, not blinking, never left the two women in front of him.
"Freeze!" Agent Winters shouted, raising her gun. "Hold it right there or we'll shoot!"
The behemoth known as Prototype didn't even flinch. Slowly he kept walking towards the agents.
"Y'know ... I don't think he understood you. Care to say it again in monster? Should be your first language anyway", Agent Hunter mocked.
Winters rolled her eyes.
"Very funny, Hunter! You should do stand-up. Anymore 'good' ideas?"
"Try this one!"
With that Hunter fired a shot, hitting Prototype square in the chest. The giant stopped. Grinning, Hunter turned to face Winters.
"See ...?"
She didn't get to finish the sentence. Prototype snapped out of his numbness and continued closing in on the two agents, slowly building momentum and starting to run now.
"Now you've done it!" Winters shouted.
Without responding to that Hunter opened fire again, her gun and that of Winters firing in unison at the charging monster. They were undoubtfully doing damage. Wounds opened all over the giant's body, green blood spilling to the walls and the floor. Prototype tumbled as he reached the two women, who jumped aside to avoid contact. The behemoth hit a wall and smashed right through it as he went down, disappearing in a cloud of dust. The thud of his fall was almost completely drowned out by the breaking wall. The agents stood for a moment in silence, guns pointing at the dusty mess. When nothing moved for several seconds, Winters shot Hunter a look.
"Are you trying to kill us, dammit?!"
"What were the odds he would surrender to you, huh?!" Hunter shot back.
The two agents stared at one another for a moment, then simultaneously broke eye contact and moved towards the newly created door in the wall. Dust and darkness made it impossible to tell where exactly Prototype had went down.
"Find him, we need a sample!" Winters commanded.
Hunter made a face.
"Gross! I'll find him but if you want a piece of him, you cut it off yourself, hear me?"
Winters opened her mouth to respond, when suddenly there was movement in the darkness. Something thick smashed against their legs, sending the two agents to the ground. Winters' gun fired as it hit the floor, then jumped out of her hand and slid away. Winters found Hunter next to her and tried to get up, when something grapped her legs. She turned around to see what was holding her, noticing that whatever it was grapped Hunter as well as she did. The women found themselves staring at a bunch of thick green tentacles, wrapping around their legs. Before anyone of them could say anything, the tentacles pulled them away. A yelp escaped Winters as more of the large cold tentacles reached for her, wrapping around her body and pulling her over the dirty, dusty floor, hitting several obstacles on the way. Suddenly there was light again, as they were pulled through another door and out into a corridor similar to the one they originally came from. The tentacles rose, lifting the agents in the air with ease and tightened their grip. Hunter and Winters were pulled into a back-to-back position and pressed against each other, as the tentacles continued to squeeze mercilessly. Hearing Hunter gasping for air behind her, Winters looked around to figure out a way to escape. All she saw were these green tentacles, further wrapping around her midsection and shoulders and tightening their iron grip on her, pressing her back against Hunter's. Struggling to breathe, Winters groaned with pain as the tentacles kept squeezing. The next thing she heard were heavy footsteps approaching. The Prototype appeared again, still showing the wounds from their previous battle. To little surprise the tentacles belonged to him, growing from his back. Cruel yellow eyes watched as the two agents suffered, almost out of air already.
"So you and I die together as conjoined twins?" Hunter pressed out between clenched teeth. "Life is cruel!"
Winters couldn't help but agree there, life indeed was cruel. As Prototype kept wrapping them in tentacles, squeezing them together even closer, if that was possible, Grace Winters thought to herself that there was no way this could be the end. Tied together with Vanessa Hunter of all people and getting the life squeezed out of her by a vicious monster. It sounded more like a nightmare than anything. No, there had to be a way out of this dilemma!
There had to be ...!

To be continued ( ? )

Felt like writing something again, wanted to see if I still got it. Do I?
Hope I portrayed everyone in character here, that's always very important to me. No idea if Prototype is supposed to speak. I saw a pic, long ago, where he did, but during the "Catacombs of Kain" storyline he didn't utter a single word. So I decided to just have him act like a Resident Evil Tyrant here for good measure

I usually have a strange rule that I don't any of my works posted on other peoples DA accounts, just because it feels a bit odd, like liking your own facebook posts or the such However I this one for the write up. You've done a great job on this story dude! It's help rebuild some muse for ol' Prototype, and I'm really impressed with your portrayal of both Hunter and Grace. Glad to see Mja42x is impressed too.

Very nice job!

Oh, I think it's perfectly fine to fave your own stuff
This way you can always check out how well it is received or if anyone thinks about requesting/commissioning you themselves.

Glad to hear my writing helped your muse and thanks for the kind words, too
So, how exactly do you plan on portraying Prototype? Mute or talkative?

I'm not certain yet to be honest. I've never got that far with his character yet. For now I am playing it by ear, and I probably would like to give him some form of character. Whilst the brutal strong silent types are always pretty cool, I think Proto needs a little more then that.

Outside the box thinking is never wrong.
While he certainly does look like a Tyrant, I sure wouldn't mind if he indeed had some more tricks up his sleeves.

This was great! I was hooked the entire time and you pretty much nailed the personality of the characters. It made me want to draw this story! I'm honored that you used Hunter and Grace for this.

And the image itself is awesome too. I instantly recognized my Havoc Unit ladies as soon as I saw it!

Well, for the accurate take on the ladies you've gotta thank
Once again he brought the best out of DAZ.

Thank you for the comment on the text, though. I can at least take credit for that
Glad to hear I managed to bring them over in character and even more that I can still deliver a good read - especially in English.
It would indeed be awesome if you'd draw this story ( if you have the time ). I'm sure thedude255 would love to see your take on Prototype, too.
But knowing your disliking for happy endings, I have a feeling a cliffhanger is the best these two can get here
