SCOTT VOSS, the current voice of VWW, opened the "Bash at the Beach" pre-show party, taking place hours before the actual PPV went live. Mic in hand and dressed in a rather loud Hawaiian shirt and white shorts, he welcomed the fans in attendance, as well as those watching at home, to the show. Color commentator "Coach" Rachel Spencer even jokingly refered to him as "Scott The Dripman Voss". The heavy-set man laughed and claimed to still be lightyears away from the physique of a Bret Hart. As for the in-ring technique, he wouldn't even try. Spencer continued by asking how about cheery disposition then or if he liked Bill Goldberg. With a wry smile, Voss answered: "As they say on the street, I ain't touchin' that one!". Instead, he complimented Spencer and her chosen beach wear, telling her she looked "ravishing", to which the Canadian said: "What can I say, I am 43 years old, I can still rock a bikini and I am damn proud of it! Consider this line a message to all the mums of the world!". They then turned towards what would happen later on tonight, going through the card, highlighting the major matches and most intense rivalries, going in. Then it was time for the featured exhibition match, taking place at the beach.

The promotional poster, that had been used to advertise this interpromotional "Bash at the Beach" tag team match, had been commissioned way in advance, as became immediately clear during the entrances. Angelina Romano and Olivia Parker, known collectively as "The HotBods", arrived first, riding a 4x4 truck across the beach to the sound of "Warriors" by Scandal feat. Patti Smyth, while wearing cowgirl hats. While Angelina came as advertised, Olivia sported a vastly different look. Nothing could change she was still 5'3", but her once dark blond hair was dyed a lot brighter now, her physique more hench, she had clearly been hitting the gym, and her ring gear a no nonsense black and white. Her cheerful attitude was still there, though, as she swung her cowgirl hat, standing on the second rope. Only then Norwegian glam metal band Wig Wam entered the stage, standing across from the ring, and started a live performance of "Do Ya Wanna Taste It". Even though this was the Malibu Warriors' chosen entrance theme, it didn't stop a troop of background dancers to perform the "Peacemaker Dance", stone-faced and all. Much to everyone's surprise and either delight ... or cringe, Scott Voss himself, in his loud Hawaiian shirt, danced the part of Peacemaker here. He actually nailed it! This at least garnered him some applause from the fans AND the wrestlers, already in the ring. Halfway through the song, singer Glam pointed into the distance, directing everybody's attention to the sea, where Kat Manning and April Anderson were fast approaching on jet skis! Arriving at the beach, they jumped off, took off their life vests and immediately walked to the ring, not bothering high-fiving the fans, like the HotBods had done during their entrance. The fans still cheered them, though. Out of breath, Scott Voss announced: "Well ... I guess we know who won the entrance-off!"

When the bell sounded, it became immediately apparent this was an exhibition and not a deadly serious tag team match for title contention or bragging rights. What gave it away were all the ... "weapons" at ringside, that ranged from plastic shovels to water balloons. Still, the bout was "presented by 2023 wrestling", meaning someone had to do a Dive. The Malibu Warriors were the victims here, stalling at ringside, posing to tease the fans, they were hit by stereo Suicide Dives from the HotBods! Silliness soon ensued, when Angelina Romano bodyslammed April Anderson onto the sand and the latter hamming it up, selling the bump as if she had been thrown into a pile of thumbtacks. Meanwhile, Olivia Parker threatened Kat Manning with a red plastic shovel, causing her to hide behind the referee, who played along, threatening a disqualification for use of a "foreign object". Olivia eventually shrugged and tossed the shovel into the referee's hands, who slowly put it down, as if it was a hot grenade. The fans ate it up.
Then finally, things turned more serious, with all four women shifting into next gear. The first indication that the gloves were off came when Manning hit a vicious-looking Fallaway Slam into the guardrail, taking Parker out for the time being. Back in the ring, Angelina Romano discovered her handicap the hard way, when Manning all but decapitated her with the Mali-Boot ( Discus Big Boot ), while she had been focused on Anderson. The Malibu Warriors then double-teamed her for a while, first with Friendly Fire ( Manning suplexed Anderson onto a prone Romano ), then later with the Waverider ( Aided Somersault Senton ), seeking to end the match. Here, a somewhat recovered Olivia pulled Angelina out of the way, though, resulting in Anderson crashing and burning. After taking care of Manning with a Double Suplex, the HotBods took over. Sandwiching both opponents in the corner, before running in with back-to-back Dropkicks. A bit of silliness later returned, when the HotBods "tied up" Kat Manning with inflatable rubber rings, before dropping her with an Aided Dropkick, followed by a Double Legdrop. However, when they locked in their Double Crab Finisher on April Anderson, Manning freed herself and performed an impressive Double Flying Cutter on both HotBods simultaneously to break the hold. Less impressive was her following "Your Double Crab is Double Crap!" remark, that Coach Spencer called a "sick burn" on commentary and couldn't have made sound more sarcastic if she tried. The HotBods recoverd with a Battering Ram Headbutt and tried a second Double Suplex, but this time the powerful Manning blocked it and double-suplexed both of them instead! Flexing afterwards, she wasted time and nearly lost to a School Girl from Romano. Kicking out with gusto, she sent Romano almost flying. Regaining her equilibrium, the HotBod walked straight into the Heels' Surf's Up ( Flapjack/Double Knee Facebreaker combination ) with Anderson jumping into the cover for the 1 ... the 2 ... the -
Olivia flew in, breaking up the cover in the last possible moment.
Roaring like a lioness, Kat Manning grabbed her, deadlifting her high up in what was likely supposed to become a German Suplex, but Parker fought back with a Back Elbow to the face. Manning recovered quickly and charged at her, but Olivia ducked out of the way and Manning accidentally floored her own partner with a sick Big Boot. Turning around, she was immediately dropped by an incoming Missile Dropkick off the top rope from Angelina. Still, when they called for the Chariot Of Desire, Manning fought back, reaching back, she grabbed a full hand of hair each and sent the HotBods flying with a Double Hairmare. "Now we're playin' dirty!", Scott Voss called. Meanwhile, April Anderson had introduced a trash can into the ring, drawing the referee's ire. Kat Manning grabbed the HotBods by the hair again, knocking their heads together and when they leaned against one another, dazed, Anderson put the trash can over them, trapping them inside.
"Garbage Day!", both girls yelled, referencing a movie that was older than the both of them.
Then they both hit the trash can with simultaneous Dropkicks, sandwiching the HotBods inside. They followed this spot, that did not look as dangerous as it probably was, with stereo Five Knuckle Shuffles on the HotBods, before going for simultaneous Attitude Adjustments. To their credit, both HotBods struggled free, countering with stereo DDTs. Angry, Kat Manning countered a Double Whip attempt by launching both opponents into the corner, sandwiching them with a rare Body Avalanche, before attempting a Double Attitude Adjustment on the both of them. She certainly had the power, but the HotBods weren't done yet. Angelina recovered first, slid off Kat's shoulders and pulled Olivia down after her, before teaming up to perform a Double Hip Toss on the charging Manning, sending her over the top rope into the sand below. Here, April Anderson of all people hoisted Olivia Parker up, knocked Angelina Romano down with her own partner's legs and planted Parker with a picture-perfect Attitude Adjustment for the 1 ... 2 ... - kickout!
In the final intentional comedy moment of the match, April threw a hissy fit, screeching "Cena always won with that!". A recovered Manning then once again pulled Romano back by her hair, before grabbing her and back suplexing her out of the ring and onto the beach below. Even on sand, that had looked dangerous! Things picked up once again, as the two women brawled, while in the ring, Anderson went for the Reach for the Sky ( Corner Springboard Bulldog ) to finish Parker off once and for all. The latter countered, tossing Anderson onto the top rope crotch first. Outside the ring, Manning missed a heinous skull crushing ring post Big Boot, when Romano pulled her head back in the last moment. Fuming, Kat Manning went after her, promising to "F'N kill her" ( she didn't say "F'N", though ) and Romano, in self-defense, threw a handful of sand in her face. Blinded, Manning ran head first into the ring post, causing a loud "bonk", that sounded way more funny than it had to feel! Whereas in the ring, Olivia Parker blocked a Clotheline-attempt from a still reeling April Anderson by linking their arms, turn her around, so they ended up standing back-to-back, linking their other arms and hoisting her into the air. Anderson just had time for a quick "Oh shiiiiiiiiiiit!" before she was dropped with a Gory Neckbreaker in the middle of the ring. Parker floated over into an, admittedly, a tad gamy cover and the referee counted:
"1 ... 2 ... ... 3!"
At that, the fans cheered and guest ring announcer Stu Malone declared:
"Here are your winners, the HooooooooooooooooootBooooooooooooooooooooods!"
To the sound of "Warriors", the two girls danced their way up the aisle, neither team had used during their entrances to disappear backstage for a hot shower and a cold drink. Meanwhile, April Anderson was coming to in the ring, actually pouting. Kat Manning regained her feet outside, still clutching her forehead, while the fans showered her with chants of "Bonk!". No doubt, this would leave more than one mark, both on her head and her career.
