A thoughtful man sits in quiet contemplation of the game at hand while his opponent growls lowly, moving a piece further up the glowing board. The lazy trail of smoke that floats around the man's pale head is disturbed only by the occasional restless stirring of the Old One's spindly wings. The rest of their surroundings remain silent, the stars rotating above them in everlasting motion, the plank of wood they sit upon, floating suspended in the middle of all this empty infinity, does not move as it is secured by the Great One's godlike magic. Forgotten pieces of the game stand scattered at their sides, neutral in foreshadowing whom might be the victor. It is his move again.
