This artwork was for a paper mini, which is why there's not much perspective.

The clanging sound of a hammer beating some red hot steel into shape on an anvil is an essential note in the ambient noise of a fantasy or historical town, so when I set about creating a set of townsfolk characters the smith was the first one on my list. I'm quite happy with the way he turned out, but my favourite part is the anvil.
