Description
(Follow-up to www.deviantart.com/burbank2000… except not really...)"For as long as I remember, I always asked myself about what beautiful things lie out there. Sometimes it was something as pedestrian as the shiny new collectible figures in a toy store's storage room, other times it was me wondering about the surprises and secrets the universe packs...
For all the talk we talk about enjoying life, we really only get to see and imagine a nigh-negligible fraction of it. Not that mortality is really helping, but that's how it is.
Nowadays I don't get to see the beauty of the world anymore so much as I get to imagine it: With the shapes, colors, aroma, sounds and textures I was blessed to experience throughout my first sixteen years on this pale blue dot, my brain scrambles to fill in the void whenever something feels as though it's missing, lacking or just not right. A lot of the times, this results in a picture, while almost as complete as what I would get when I still had eyesight, is ultimately vastly different from the one I'm meant to navigate. In a way, I'm forced to create my own worlds just so I can roam the one I and every other human are physically bound to.
Blind or not, as long as you can imagine the beauty in things around you, no path is too dark to walk."
