Description A little Idea I came up with the other day.

A buddy series about two common crooks from Chicago during the Great Depression of 1930s, who travel around the world and stealing what they need to survive and to earn a reputation of being the best thieves of their generation. Only their efforts are usually sidetracked whenever they are involved with someone (child, woman, guy, family, etc.), or whenever they are caught up in dangerous situations (Wars, gangs, supernatural, mad science, etc.) during their travels. Despite being down on their luck, Tommy and Robbie are capable Escape Artists and sneaky thieves, which can be convenient when in peril. And even though they are mostly viewed as criminals and menaces by Police and Outlaws alike, their sense of showmanship and their cunning mixed with their reluctant good deeds could potentially win the hearts of common folk.

"Tommy-Gun" is the taller, slender, cynical, womanising, materialistic, and street smart Gangster who's the Strategist and sneaky of the two. Tommy enjoys the finer things in life as well as coming up with elaborate plans to give the people something to talk about. Even though he and Robbie don't always see eye to eye, Tommy is like a big brother to Robbie, and would do anything to help him whenever he is in a jam or trying to help someone in need. Even if it means dropping his plans to steal a priceless treasure (No matter how much he doesn't want to).

Voiced by: Rob Paulsen (Raphael from 1987 TMNT)

"Robbie" is the shorter, thick-built, slow-witted, often-misguided and clumsy but kind hearted Burglar who is the heavy lifter of the two. Despite being driven to steal, Robbie prefers to do good deeds for people rather than rob them.  Thus making him the reluntant Yin to Tommy's desperate Yang. Even with his surreal strength, Robbie can be easily distracted and clumsy during jobs.

Voiced by: Chris Murphy (Murray from Sly Cooper Game series)

The concept of the series is inspired by duos such as Horace & Jasper, Rocky & Mugsy, Ren & Stimpy, Tucker & Dale, Laurel & Hardy, Pinky & the Brain, and Tulio & Miguel. I also took some inspiration from characters like Megamind and Gru from Despicable Me. Since the main characters are first viewed as bad guys, but end up becoming good guys after circumstances and realising their true potential.

Tommy and Robbie belong to Kidfergus (Me)

Nice idea for a criminal pair. I like how they look. ^ ^
You know, for some reason, they remind me of another criminal pair from a show called Victor and Hugo: Bunglers In Crime.

While I got nothing against Rob Paulsen and Chris Murphy (even though I've never heard of the latter), My favorite voice duo for the thin, wisecracking city-slicker and fat, dopey easily-distracted guy go to Jason Marsden and Frank Welker.

It's a shame I don't have an original bone in my body, otherwise I'd use them for whatever characters I would've created...

They look pretty awesome, Kev!

I can immediately see them meeting Team Flux and/or the Breakout Stars already.

Thanks, John.

Yeah. Of course, the technology would confuse them.

No prob, Kev.

Yeah, since Team Flux are a team of high-tech time-travelers, and the Breakout Stars are mostly from another galaxy. No wonder these guys'll be confused.

Oh, and one more thing, Tommy looks a bit like you. ^^

Well, I'm sure Tommy and Robbie would fairly know a little bit about steampunk machinery and early technology.

Really? I was trying to avoid that.

Btw, I can imagine this being their theme music being something like this.  www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2S1I_…

Yeah, the resemblance IS striking, to tell ya the truth.

Oh, yeah! That sounds swingin' for 'em.
