INSPIRATION →
got a new custom brush that i made in sai, so pretty much testing it out. who better to test it out on than maddigan, my new character?

this is maddigan, or mads for short, and he is my account's mascot! yay. he was designed by the lovely endber and while this is not he reference, it will be coming soon enough. i love him quite a bit. he is a dragon-cat-chameleon mix <3 no one is to use this lineart/design.
time spent → a little over two hours.
program used → gimp, sai and tablet.

it's always traditional first, then i make it digital from that.

i just take a picture and outline/color it from that.

just enough to see the lines so you can line it/color, etc.

oh thank you! But I was also wondering, what programs do you use? I'll be getting adobe cloud soon, but my SAI trial ran out, and paint isn't great :T
