Description Was thinking of a game villain along the lines of Metal Gear Solid. Loved the first few games, never played the later ones.

Very awesome designs with the armor, I especially like how it resembles medieval plate armor. It's probably due to how you drew the scale-like clothing under the pieces of armor.
Also, the red and gray color combo. is quite nice.

I like the pose/stance on the left. Especially the leg placement.
Fun fact: Katanas are usually held with hands spaces as much as possible on the handle, to increase the pivoting ease when cutting.Β i.ytimg.com/vi/FSXWKNyEo6o/hqd…

Thanks. Interesting point about the Katana will keep that in mind. I suppose his hands might be in transition to a wider grip as he moves silently in the shadows

Tried to find HD stuff, though that might be very close to a ninja stance. They have this stance that is similar to your and the sword is pushed much more at the front and they turns sideways so basicalle they hide their other hand with the front hand and the sword (try it in the mirror) Point the sword/broomstick/anything at the middle of your eyes. You can't see what secondary weapons are they hiding/trying to reach with their other hand. It's very fun and useful. Every stance/guard has it's own story and purpose and theres TONS of them. You should look it out. It can spawn some fun concepts. If you really wanna get a proepr info just hit your local ninjutsu/kendo/any sword school and just ask them about the guards/stances. Very curious thing.

Ah thanks for looking this up man I appreciate it! I don't use any reference so my stances are probably quite a bit off from the real thing, but it could be considered artistic license I really should start doing more research as it would no doubt help my concepts reach another level. Thanks again for the info it is really helpful!Β
