It looks like the manticore already knows better than to mess with the Sun Goddess and is more worried about getting away. Twilight Sparkle studies so much about magic that she never learned "Don't poke the bear (or mess with monsters)," but after a good scare and seeing her teacher in action (and in danger) maybe she'll be a bit more careful. It's easy to see that the student is very worried about Celestia.
Anyway, you did another great job, and the fierce expressions are very powerful, plus Celestia's affect and stature as she fights is amazing.
