Description
Since I took a photo of my God of War games collection, I figured why won't I take a photo of my Bionicle Collection and submit it here as well..I took and submitted this photo because as a legal adult I'd like to reflect and share a bit of my former love for Bionicles and how much it meant to me as a kid..
When I was a little Brian junior, I got my first Bionicles! A bunch of the original Toa Mata figures, some Bohroks, and Rahkshi. But I never got any COMPLETE collections of all of em. I ended up breaking/losing a lot of em because I was such a dumbass kid. I once dropped a large ROCK on one of my Bohroks and it ofcourse, cracked at some place. I wasn't seriously collecting them.
It wasn't until the 2007 BARRAKI series came out, that my love for Bionicles really awakened. i got all 6 of those guys, along with the the 2006/2007 titans, and all of the 6 Toa Mahri. I was also given a HUGE plastic box of old Bionicles from my old elementary school, which was very nice of them, allowing me to have the older Bionicles once again, along with many I never had before.
I eventually delved into creating stopmotion animations with my Bionicles, as many people were making and posting videos like such back then. I used generic digital cameras, and my webcam with a crappy program edited with Windows Movie Maker. They weren't that good, until I found a very easy to use AND FREE program called Stop Motion Animator, which utilizes your webcam. I was able to make some PRETTY good animations then. I aspired to create awesome full-length stopmotion vids with awesome battles, sfx, horrible voice acting, and everything lol
Unfortunately my old computer ended up dying on me and I couldn't reinstall my webcam on a new one because I couldn't find the installation disk, or it probably stopped working. Either way I couldn't make any more stop motion animations until I got a new one..
I didn't collect much bionicles after the 2007 series, only collecting a few from each newer series.
Eventually the bionicles toyline ended around 2010 and it has now become a thing of my past. I never got into the Hero factory replacement, it's not as awesome as Bionicle to me..
HOWEVER as the picture shows, I still have them. I never sold or got rid of any of them (well I did give some duplicates to cousins..) and I display them proudly. They hold lots of sentimental value to me. Even though i havent actually played with em in a while, I'm pretty sure I'd still know how to assemble them by memory. I displayed Godzilla there because well I didn't have any other place in my room to put him in XD
I have lost/broken pieces of some of them, like Spinax's one spine and red eye, and most regretably BRUTAKA's MASK. Man he looked fricking awesome, I feel stupid about that lol.
I have many more, COMPLETE sets, but not complete series' from which they belong so I just store those. They wouldn't look good on the shelves all alone in my opnion.
Nowadays I'd rather LIKE to collect anime/videogame figures. But they are generally more expensive and less widely available. I'd really love to have figures of otaku goddess Konata Izumi, the God of War Kratos, Gurren Lagann, Gypsy Danger, and MORE. But i dont have ANY of those. I tend to spend my money on videogames instead. And now I need a new Drawing tablet. Man I gotta get a job..
If you'd like to see my completed stop motion animated Bionicle vids, check this link. www.youtube.com/playlist?list=…
Anyways, i hope you like it, please comment.

I have one of the games, based on the 2006 Inika series.
I also watched that Mask of Light movie as well, though I personally didn't like it because they didn't look at all like the sets did lol

I bought a second Carapar set because the original had broken pieces ehehe..
So I gave him two claws. I think he looks more badass that way.

Oh, how I wish I had those sets! I have three of the Rahkshi and all of the Bohrok, but I don't have a single one of those titans or the Barraki or the Toa Mahri.

I wish I had a Nocturn set. He looks so badass with the glowing neon blue parts and the 4 arms. Then my Barraki collection would TRULY be complete.

Which is funny, considering Brutaka's Olmak was severely damaged and eventually destroyed in the canon.

Brutaka looked SO SICK! I broke the peg on his mask when I was playing with him and Axonn, and dropped him down the stairs..
I tried gluing/taping it but eventually I just lost it ehehe..

It was a dangerous mask. Caused quite a few problems in the storyline.
