Yup. That's what I'm planning to do, just keep on working at it! I have four art classes lined up for next semester. In fact, I ought to have rephrased my post because I'm much more positive than that and I just wasn't thinking as I wrote it. I WILL be able draw like this someday, or I'll find a style to suit me that will be equally good for me. Heh. (That was a hard lesson to learn early on. I kept wanting to draw like my brother! No go for me, we're too different.) However I really do admire this type of detailed artwork that is blended so well and is so lifelike and I believe it's something I *could* actually achieve, so . . . . someday, maybe.

Yep keep working on it, you will find the style you like. If you want to do realism, it comes down to how much time you are willing to spend on a drawing. It is normal for me to spend 100+ hours on a single drawing.
