I was trying a new, larger page format. 16.5 in x11.5, instead of the standard 15 x 10. It was fun, but it causes a little problem with my scanner. Her toes got trimmed off, and the overhanging paper caused a blur on the right side of the scan.

As for the drawing, I really like the more energetic line work, the use of black. The pose is subtle, and imposing. I really want to do this sort of thing more in my work.

Also, when I posted the first pic of this, I received a lot of positive remarks from folks who seem to really enjoy a very muscular female form, like this. I thought I had taken this type of anatomy to the limit, but I soon found some folks who take it to a whole other plain.

I think it's as important to understand why I don't like something, as much as it is important to appreciate the things I do like.
