Description I did dozens upon dozens of sketches trying to find my version of a Klingon. I boiled them down to these 4 breakthrough drawings. The first shows my very first pass, which just looks like the actor in turtleshell head make-up. The second one starts to bring in design elements I thought would look good, but lacks a good overall shape and graphic quality. By the third drawing I have nailed down the design elements, but something seemed lacking. In animation, exaggeration is always better. By taking a design too far, it often then shows up onscreen as just right. Pushing all those design elements I had "nailed down" in number 3 now starts to solidify the design in number 4.

It's amazing to see where we might start with a design and then where we ultimately end up. You have an amazing range of art styles, each version looks like it was by a diffrent artist.
These Star Trek drawings are really great!
