Description I recently saw the 'official' female turians in the comic.

Let's just say I'm a little peeved.

I'm not saying turian women had to be beautiful as a snowflake but come on, a bald headed turian? It contradicts the canon, where the turian males mentions how women have head fringes within the game. (Although, it did cause some potential hilarious romance dialogue in the future when Shepard starts to question Garrus about comparing her hair to a head fringe.)

Anyways, this my attempt to try to make bald turian women look ok. By the way, if you take a look closer at the bottom right hand corner you see a comparison between a female turian and a male turian. I've added the 'earhorn' as an experiment at the time.

Note: It's a speculation picture. I know it be won't correct with the canon. Until we have a reliable solid source, we won't be sure how turian head fringes actually work.

I like it! A lot better than the bald headed I think.

The concept looks a little flowery, but I think it turned out well. They can still look fierce but still be beautiful like this.
Say what you wan't but I think the design brings out the eyes a bit. I think thats what I like about it the most.

Well. Some turians were showed to have different or even lacking these "earhorns". Must be feature of some race in their species (like humans, have Caucasian, African and so on etc). Anyway i like details you put into this concept. But IMHO I think that rounded tips take away their avian-predatory look.

I've always wondered about the earhorns since ME1, thought they might part of a racial feature. The only turians I've seen with these earhorns so far, was Saren and his brother Desolas. It would be nice to see some sort of explanation to the different features they have somewhere in the codex in the future.

As for the blunt earhorns on her, I do admit at the time something was not quite 'right' about her after I've finished drawing her. After I've took a good look at Saren's then I've realised they are not pointy as they should be. Instead, they are the turian equivalent to the human funny ears that they tend to stick out too far. Yeah, she lost her avian-predatory look. I kind of feel tempted to fix it in my other artwork I'm working on, but now I the idea of having a feature that resembles a funny-ugly appearance on her, I'll keep it for this one.

Next time, I'll do a proper sketch for which has a the typical features, including the predatory look for the avarage turian woman.

I like this, it's a much softer look, for the females. More ornamental, but simpler at the same time. I mostly dig those clubbed "earhorns"
