Description
This is a digitally inked piece I did for the Robotech Shadow Chronicles role playing game. Basically it was inking over Kevin Long's pencils which are amazingly tight. I didn't really have to do much "interpretation" of his lines, since he works so clean, so this was a blast to work on.Related content

Nicely inked! Of course, Kevin Long's pencils were simply traced from the original Mospeada lineart, so of course they'd be tight...

Does Kevin have a page here I am a huge fan. Do you still do work with Palladium Books?

I'm not even sure where to find Kevin nowadays. I know he was working in the video games industry after Palladium, but I'm not sure if he has a site up, or a page here. Also, yes I still do work for Palladium. I just finished up an assignment last week.
I'll post some stuff up when the book is published.

That would be cool I'm a huge Palladium Fan even though i work for TSR now but they're all Fantasy and I'm a Sci-Fi nut. Robotech was my first love in Palladium's lineup then Heroes Ultd, then Rifts. I can't post anything I'm doing for TSR till the movie and the new game releases. Bummer I know but if you check out my Black & whites you'll get a feel for what we're trying to do.

This is killer, a classic for sure. Always loved Long's work, so I would think it a huge honor to get to ink his stuff! Grats!

When I was asked if I wanted to ink some of Long's pencils, I was so pumped. He's always been one of my favorites, and seeing his pencils was absolutely amazing. I'm such a lazy bum compared to what Kevin did with his pencils.

messed up they mad you guys take off the metal effects, but ultimately you know how I feel about dumb stuff.

lol, yeah I hear you. At least this one was printed like this (although the simplified version was the larger piece used for the Cyclone section). I was more bummed that the Condor didn't make it as is. I don't think that one was ever printed in any book (I could be mistaken, though). So the first time it gets into a book, it's the simpler tech drawing version.

My buddy Ka drew it once.

into our Robotech Masters book.
That was the last book we did
for Palladium before they lost
the license some years ago.
