Description
Β Just a doodle, actually. Sorry, but I have a little to no time, so it strikes my quality ΒI've tried to remember my first pictures with "soft" shadows. Still got a lot to learn, but at least I remember
By the way, she have to be a good jedi in SW universe, because of a color, hm...
Queen Chrysalis and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic belong to Hasbro.

This makes me think of the song "Killer Queen."
Her expression is the best.

The band is Queen.

Then again, that song makes me think of Chrissy anyway...

I see your play on words Very clever! As usual, you did very well on the lineart. I must say that I like a lot your work with shading and lighting here. The blurry light that drops on Chrysalis looks outstanding! ^^
One thing is sure - soft shadows are harder to apply. Those who really know the ropes can connect both soft and sharp shading and it looks really nice... I've tried it like once or twice but it was far away from looking great

Thank you very much, WinterDominus!Β Β Yeah, I like to play on words when I can
The other day I thought: like it or not I'm no good without more realistic shadows, so I must follow that path no matter how many bumps ahead. So I'll continue to try them time to time. Plus it needs to my next works. Good shading may make miracles with drawings, but it's hard as ... (Um, nothing polite comes to mind )

Don't worry. I can understand that people may not have time to respond ^^
You're right, proper shading (and lighting) can work miracles but like you have noticed precisely it's quite challenging
Like always, t'was my pleasure

Hah, "head cannon". I see what you did there Seriously though, brilliant work yet again
First, this picture really shows off how talented you are with making both her horn and eyes glow so brilliantly
Next, stunning work on that devilish grin, and all those pearly-white teeth :3 Lastly, you also did a fine job once again on her mane!

I love how you make those horn-stripes that light
when she uses magic xD
The glow part is strong within her.
You think changelings are not only insects, but maybe they
asimiliated some fluorescentic algae, causing them to produce
green glow?

Actually, I never thought about it, but I really like the idea. It looks more scientific, which is great for me (I like scientific explanations even in fantasy)!
