Vengreik harbors many Knightly Orders. Knightly Orders tend to be dedicated to an Aspect, a Craft, or a Place. Those dedicated to an Aspect (a God; an autonomous facet of the Godhead's person), Knights Aspecte, are keepers of that Aspect's lore and rituals, and also emphasize the Virtues associated with that Aspect. Those dedicated to a Craft, Knights Artisan, are both professional and amateur knighted craftsmen who seek to develop their arts together. They are not guilds or companies that produce goods for profit. Those dedicated to a Place, Knights Edifice, are usually the keepers of a Fortress or Holy Site, and its first line of defense. They tend to remain near it, but can also be found out in the world as its walking representatives.

The Knight featured here is a Knight Artisan. He probably made his armor and weapons himself, or perhaps he instead tailored his colorful garb. Whatever he did not make, he might have instead commissioned from another order. His strange weapon, both a polehammer and a greatsword, represents his devotion to Yrd: the God of creation and the highest Aspect of Vengreik. The same symbol is also present on his breastplate. To use such an unwieldly weapon in battle is likely a sign that the Knight has a threaded soul and the magic that comes with it, allowing him to fight with it effectively. The Knight's broad and stout build is semi-common in Vengreik, especially among the upper classes. It is said to be a genetic relic of the Good Magnai: the antediluvian ancestors from whom they are descended, whose blood was mingled in the Dreamtime with spirits of the forge.
